CIRCUS, REALLY? ER, WELL WE’D LIKE TO GIVE IT A CHANCE.
Hi, welcome to my talk. I really hope it’s good. And, by that I mean that you take something of self-defined value for you. I’ll be talking about the circus, its lenses, projections and aspirations and perception, I’ll show some videos, talk through the hows and whys and whats of creative decisions, examine what a show means, talk through creative constraints. Is any of this metamodern? I hope so.

Luke Hallgarten is a circus practitioner and the artistic director of the Revel Puck Circus. A graduate of the National Centre for Circus Arts (London) and Le Lido (Toulouse) Luke toured with NoFit State Circus and Gandini Juggling in LEXICON, Smashed2 and Smashed. Luke has led the Revel Pucks since their inception in the creation, development and touring of tented circus productions with a focus on creative producing approaches and audience oriented artistic development.
